Copilot Adoption

The Copilot Adoption by Product report shows how Copilot adoption breaks down across the different Microsoft 365 apps in the selected tenant. For each product, it compares how many people are set up to use Copilot against how many are actually using it, making it easy to spot apps where Copilot is licensed but underused.

The figures come from the Microsoft 365 Copilot usage reports in Microsoft Graph and cover the last 30 days. One row is shown per product (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Loop, and Copilot Chat), plus an Any App row that summarises adoption across all of them.

Table Details

Column
Description

Product

The Microsoft 365 app or service the row covers, letting you see Copilot adoption broken out per product. The Any App row counts people enabled or active in at least one product.

Enabled Users

The number of people who have Copilot available to them for that product, essentially the potential audience that could be using it.

Active Users

The number of people actually using Copilot in that product, showing real-world uptake rather than just availability. Comparing this against Enabled Users highlights the adoption gap.
